Nina is an eclectic counselor with many years experience with individuals at all stages of life here in the valley. Following completion of her BS in Psychology, she raised a family, and ran a licensed home for Therapeutic Foster Care. They provided contractual services to the State of Washington and Northwest Children’s Home. As a licensed home they assisted a number of families with reunification services.
While completing her Masters in Counseling and Human Services at the University of Idaho, she worked at an inpatient hospital, River Crest Hospital, providing inpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. She was then hired by Lewis Clark State College to manage The Center for New Directions, serving displaced homemakers, single parents, and adults in transition. This was an opportunity to learn and grow in providing and career development services, administrative services, and personal counseling. Nina received an award for excellence and the program was recognized State wide for excellence during my tenure as Coordinator.
Nina served 8 years on the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses Counseling and Marriage and Family Regulatory Board. As a board member she approved Counselors and Therapists for practice in Idaho and assisted with complaints and discipline for counselors operating outside of professional ethics and Idaho rules and law.
