Nina Woods

Nina is an eclectic counselor with many years experience with individuals at all stages of life here in the valley. Following completion of her BS in Psychology, she raised a family and ran a licensed home for Therapeutic Foster Care. As a licensed home they assisted a number of families.
While completing her Masters in Counseling and Human Services at the University of Idaho, she worked at a private inpatient hospital, River Crest Hospital, providing inpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment for adolescent, adult, and geriatric residents. She had six years at Lewis Clark State College in the Center for New Directions, serving displaced homemakers, single parents, and adults in transition. This was an opportunity to learn and grow in providing and career development services, administrative services, and personal counseling. Nina received an award for excellence, and the program was recognized Statewide for excellence during her tenure as Coordinator.
Nina served 8 years on the Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses Counseling and Marriage and Family Regulatory Board. As a board member she approved Counselors and Therapists for practice in Idaho and assisted with complaints and discipline for counselors operating outside of professional ethics and Idaho rules and law. She served as a Chair for 2 of the 8 years.
