Nicki Thomason

Social Work Intern

Nicki is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at Idaho State University. Prior to her masters, Nicki earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Lewis-Clark State College in 2019. Her professional experience includes working in foster care, school settings, and the mental health field, where she has supported children, adolescents, and adults through a wide range of challenges.

She believes therapy is most effective when it is collaborative. She strives to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel heard, respected and empowered. Her approach is trauma-informed and strength-based, focusing on resilience and growth while honoring each person’s lived experience. She often integrates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
