Counseling Intern

Savannah is a counseling intern working on her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Idaho. She received her Bachelor of Education in Special Education from Gonzaga University, where she was an active participant on Gonzaga's Volleyball Team. She also competed on the US Collegiate National Volleyball Team and participated in a professional volleyball league in Austria. 

Savannah spent time working as an academic coach for a college support program where she provided individual/informal counseling, taught life skills, mindfulness/meditation practices, and yoga. She has experience working with college and high school age students but is interested in working with individuals of all ages. Savannah will utilize both Christian and non-faith-based counseling, while adhering to a variety of counseling approaches, including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)/Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Savannah will utilize an eclectic approach and is open to offering a variety of clinical approaches to support her clients in developing new ways of coping with the difficulties of life. She will be under the supervision of her Clinical Supervisor, Jessica Triplett, LCPC.

Savannah believes in the power of the therapeutic process and the importance of a collaborative approach with her clients. She will provide a safe space to help clients process, explore, and evaluate their circumstances and struggles together while in session. Savannah's education and life experiences provide a positive and authentic approach to different situations.
