Kindra Hibbard
M.S., Ed.S, LCPC, NCC
Kindra J. Hibbard, M.S., Ed.S is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the State of Idaho and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Washington. Kindra is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and a member of the Idaho Mental Health Counselors Association (IMHCA). Kindra graduated from the University of Idaho with an Education Specialist degree in Human Services and Counseling, an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology, also from the University of Idaho, a Masters of Science in General Counseling and Higher Education from the University of LaVerne. Kindra has a special interest in working with children, adolescents, young adults, veterans and their families. Kindra is also experienced with other issues, including depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, and other unresolved emotional issues, and mental health issues.
Kindra uses a Cognitive Behavioral approach in therapy, which means that she utilizes a variety of strategies in order to change and understand behavior. This strategy is based on the notion that the way people see themselves and the world influences how they feel and behave. She works according to the client's individual needs and builds goals with the client based on those needs. Kindra served in the United States Army for five years. Kindra continues to be interested in supporting veterans, in regard to traumatic stress, and military families, who may be experiencing challenges, related to deployments, adjustment issues, and transitional and re-integration issues.
Kindra is in the office during the evening hours. Kindra is a preferred provider on most local insurance panels.
