Kenyatta Matthews is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Idaho, offering individualized, strengths-based therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She holds a Master of Social Work from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Lewis-Clark State College.
Kenyatta provides a warm, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. She is experienced in working with individuals navigating a variety of challenges, including trauma, domestic violence, sexual abuse, OCD, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and PTSD. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and adaptable, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Raised in the Lewis-Clark Valley, Kenyatta began her career supporting college students through academic and life transitions, which strengthened her passion for helping individuals manage change and build resilience. At RiverPlace Counseling & Wellness, she continues to walk alongside her clients as they work toward clarity, healing, and personal growth.
As a bi-cultural clinician, Kenyatta brings cultural awareness and sensitivity to her work and is committed to honoring each client’s background and values. She offers both Christian and non-faith-based counseling depending on client preference.
