Jodie Dupuis MA, LMHCA, LPC
Jodie is licensed in the state of Idaho as a LPC, in the state of Washington as a LMHCA, and is a member of the American Psychological Association.
Jodie received a BA in Psychology from Walla Walla University in 2003. She worked with individuals with chronic mental illnesses before returning to Walla Walla University in 2013 to complete her MA degree in Counseling Psychology. She completed her internship at Pathways to Change at Walla Walla University and began working with children and adolescents affected by trauma in a community day treatment setting. After two years, Jodie became an outpatient children’s therapist in Milton-Freewater, Oregon continuing to work with children and adolescents with various mental health needs including trauma, abuse, depression, and anxiety. In 2019, Jodie began working with adolescents experiencing homelessness in Walla Walla, WA and began building her own private practice in 2020 while continuing her work at the shelter. Jodie continues to see clients in Walla Walla, WA as well as work in the Walla Walla schools.
Jodie is available to see individual adults, adolescents, and children. She has experience in multiple areas including trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and sexual abuse. She uses a variety of interventions including Emotion Focused Therapy, CBT, and DBT, designed to not only help clients achieve current symptom relief and improve functioning but also address the underlying causes of the distress. When working with children, she often uses play as part of therapy as play has been shown to be effective to assist in processing trauma, change, and grief.
