M.A., LCPC, NCC
Ingrid received a B.A. in Education from Washington State University in 2001. She moved to Lewiston in 2002 when she began working with Young Life, a non-denominational Christian outreach to teenagers. Ingrid then worked with clients who have Developmental Disabilities as both a Vocational Specialist and Developmental Specialist. While pursuing her Masters in Professional Counseling she worked with adolescents at the Clarkston School District as the Prevention/Intervention Specialist. In this role she provided education and intervention for students struggling with drugs, alcohol, self-harm, and to understand if they had family members or friends that struggled with addiction. In 2010 she graduated from Liberty University with a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling. While building her own private practice she worked with the Educational Opportunity Center in Clarkston by helping students get their GED's, driver's licenses, sign up for services at DSHS, and gain employment. She has been working in private practice at RiverPlace Counseling since 2009. She is now an Idaho licensed supervisor for new therapists. Ingrid is married to Eric and has three children, Cameron, Savannah, and Piper. She was a licensed foster care parent.
Ingrid does both Christian and non-faith based counseling. She works with individuals over the age of 15, adults, couples, and families. She has experience working with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar, borderline personality disorder, OCD, PTSD, domestic violence, sexual abuse, sexual assaults, foster care and adoption situations, and through many of life's transitions. Ingrid has completed level 1 of the Gottman Relationship Counseling training. She utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral approach. This means that she believes that we must learn new strategies in order to change and understand our behavior. This strategy is based on the notion that the way people see themselves and the world influences how they feel and behave. If medication is needed she will collaborate with your PCP or Psychiatrist.
Ingrid is contracted with a variety of Employee Assistance Programs, Insurance programs, and provides therapy for the YWCA. Ingrid is a Nationally Board Certified Counselor, a member of the American Counseling Association, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho, and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington. Ingrid and her husband, Eric, own RiverPlace Counseling & Wellness, PLLC.
